During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am offering classes and private lessons for free to a limited number of students. If you’re interested in taking part, please contact me. If you like this idea, and want to support it, please consider making a contribution.
I feel tremendously fortunate to be able to work with some of the most talented young musicians in a variety of capacities. With this opportunity comes great responsibility. To learn more about my teaching philosophy, please read this.
Places I teach
The American Brass Quintet is an Ensemble-In-Residence at The Juilliard School in New York City and at the Aspen Music Festival and School in Aspen, CO. 2020 marks my 6th year on the faculty of the Juilliard School and Aspen.
I was recently appointed Adjunct Professor of Horn at the School of the Arts at the University of Connecticut. 2020-2021 will be my first year, and I’m very excited to get started!
New York University. I have been a teacher of horn students and coach of brass quintet at NYU since 2015.
The Orchestra Now. This post-graduate orchestral training program at Bard College has brought me upstate a couple times each year to coach, give master classes and conduct sectionals.
I’ve been teaching at the Round Top Festival Institute since 2013. I teach lessons, master classes, coach brass sectionals and perform chamber music with other faculty.
Idyllwild Arts Festival. I was slated to be at Idyllwild Chamber Music Intensive for the first time during the summer of 2020, but the festival was canceled due to COVID-19. I really hope I can go in 2021.
